Is the Grimburg Carry a firearm?

The Grimburg Carry is marketed and sold as a less-lethal personal defense launcher, not a firearm. The Carry is designed to deliver irritant or kinetic projectiles rather than firearm bullets. Legal treatment varies by state and country: some jurisdictions treat devices like the Carry differently than firearms, some restrict chemical rounds, and some consider power or projectile type when classifying a device. If you plan to buy, carry, or transport a Carry, check state and local laws and any travel restrictions (airlines, federal buildings, etc.). What is the effective range and accuracy of the Grimburg Carry?

Practical accuracy and effective range for compact less-lethal pistols like the Carry are driven by projectile type, sights, and shooter fundamentals. Trained users should expect reliable placement on a human-sized target at 60 to 100 Ft. In practice the Carry performs best at common self-defense distances: close quarters (3–15 ft) and mid-range (15–60 ft). Projectile choice matters: Grimburg KinetiCS and Fireball irritant rounds aren’t as accurate because of the lighter weight, about 6 grams. Grimburg’s JUL Kinetic rounds are more accurate at longer distance because of the 8 gram weight. These rounds lose about 5 joules of energy every 30 feet due to their low ballistic coefficient (BC ≈ 0.03, G1). To maximize accuracy and energy, use manufacturer recommended rounds. The Carry allows you to mount a red dot optic with the RMSc footprint which increases accuracy. Practice live fire at varied distances, and account for environmental factors (wind, light).
